What an Enchanted card is
Every chapter includes a handful of Enchanted cards: alternate versions of cards already in the set, with full-bleed artwork, an ornate frame, and a foil treatment used only for this rarity. They play exactly like the regular version. They are printed at a much lower rate, and they are what collectors open boxes to find.
Enchanted cards are foil only. There is no non-foil Enchanted.
The number past the set size
The First Chapter lists 204 cards, and its Enchanteds are numbered from 205 upward: 205/204, 206/204, and so on. Every later chapter follows the same pattern. The number in the bottom-left corner is the fastest tell there is: if the first number is bigger than the second, you are holding a card from past the set.
Since Fabled, a number past the set size can also be an Epic or an Iconic; the frame and foil tell the three apart, and the rarity symbol in the same corner confirms it.
Common to Iconic: the full ladder
Lorcana launched with six rarities. Fabled, the ninth chapter released in 2025, added two more at the top: Epic, which sits between Legendary and Enchanted, and Iconic, the rarest tier, above Enchanted, with two cards per set.

A foil Legendary is not an Enchanted
Almost every Lorcana card exists as a cold-foil version, and a foil Legendary looks special in hand. It is still numbered within the set, still uses the regular frame, and is priced as a foil Legendary. An Enchanted uses different artwork, a different frame, a different foil, and a number past the set size. Check the number and there is no confusion.
Which Enchanteds carry the value
Enchanted prices follow the character and the chapter. Enchanteds of headline characters from The First Chapter and Rise of the Floodborn are the most valuable booster cards in the game, and graded copies of the top few sell for multiples of raw ones. Later chapters have more Enchanteds and larger print runs, so prices spread out, with one or two chase cards per set well above the rest.
Promos are a separate story. D23 and Challenge promos that exist only as promos, and Set Championship prints of booster cards, are priced on their own and can sit above most Enchanteds.
Condition matters more on Enchanteds
Full-art foils show edge wear and surface scratches readily, and an Enchanted with a scuffed surface loses a large share of its value. Keep them sleeved from the pack, photograph them in even light, and check the edges before you price one.
